Release of Cameo Systems Modeler 18.3 FR

No Magic Inc. is pleased to announce the release of Cameo Systems Modeler 18.3 FR. The release features:

Interface Control Document (ICD) Tables - simplified creation of Interface Control Document (ICD) tables

Rollup Pattern Wizard – automated wizard to easy, fast and less prone to error modeling

Functional Mockup Interface (FMI) Standard Support - models that are exported from any other tools to FMI standard can now be represented as SysML Blocks

Automatic Creation of Ports – one drag for four operations

Nested Properties and Parts in Instance Table - easy way to display the properties of a classifier from a deeper level of nested properties in the Instance Table

Requirements Change Management and Impact Analysis - new set of validation rules for suspect link analysis

Automatic Detection of Prefixes - automated detection of prefixes of elements from other resources to the MagicDraw table

No More Gaps in Numbered Sequences – automated deleted or inserted element ID numbering

Related Actors in the Use Case Specification - now all Actors that are related to the Use Case are listed in a single place

New Drag Operations –create Image shapes faster by dragging from the Containment tree or the Image Library

Faster Subsetting and Redefinition - set subsetted and redefined properties faster by dragging properties or labels on each other in the diagram pane

Changes in Model Browser:

  • Relationship directions are now displayed directly in the Model Browser
  • Text in brackets now indicates classifier behaviors and behaviors with context


  • A newly created diagram is by default named after its owner
  • Automated adjustment of margins of Ports to Classes
  • The default multiplicity [0…1] no longer limits the default value creation of instance slots when creating an Instance Specification from the diagram toolbar or the Instance Table
  • Element shapes that can’t be nested become transparent on the diagram pane
  • From now only value and constraint properties are selected by default in the Display Parts dialog
  • Now only parts are selected by default in the Display Lifelines dialog
  • Empty role names are auto-named after Block name is specified
  • If Call Behavior name is edited, a new behavior is automatically created with the new name
  • Assigning Signals to Messages is now more convenient
  • Easy Line width property editing
  • Enumeration attributes are now read-only by default
  • Creation of Generalization Sets is simplified
